The European Parliament (EP) is one of three legislative branches of the European Union. Together with the Council of the European Union, it acts as a co-legislator, sharing with the Council the power to adopt and amend legislative proposals and to decide on the EU budget. The Parliament has 705 members and represents the second-largest democratic electorate in the world. It is also the largest global trans-national democratic electorate. We are excited to announce that spokeswoman Willemijn de Jong will be hosting a presentation about the EP and the EU plan regarding COVID-19. It promises to be an exciting event with enough time for questions. We hope to see you all there!
