In 2022, SIB-Groningen has the honour and the pleasure to organise this year’s SIB-Netherlands conference and by chance, it happens to be a very special conference: the Lustrum conference to celebrate 75 years of SIB-Groningen!

For a whole week, SIB-Groningen will celebrate the 15th Lustrum by organising various events under the theme “cultures in motion”, amongst them, a conference with the topic: Globalisation and Cultural Exchange.

The central question of this congress is to what extent we can look at changing cultures in regards to the themes of culture as a dynamic concept, through the changing communications and competencies and through minority and majority culture.
