On Monday September 7th at 19:00, the Committee of Personal Development will host a digital workshop on the art of negotiation process in international relations. This workshop is designed for students interested in international relations and young professionals who aspire to work in the field of diplomacy.
In this workshop, Hans van den Berg will introduce different negotiation tactics and strategies. Hans van den Berg is the founder and president of the Young Diplomat, specializing in developing political and diplomatic strategy and applying them through soft and hard power in negotiations. Furthermore, he is president of the University Council and holds a teaching position at the department of Public Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Prior to the session, every participant will receive a case study, and during the session we will do a group exercise to gain practical understanding of negotiation styles. What power is important in the negotiation process? What strategies to apply in different situations?
