On the 22nd of February, Connecting Conversations will organize an event about the influence of the pharmaceutical industry in the Netherlands and beyond. Within this event we aim to open up and stimulate an ethical debate concerning power and interests of the pharmaceutical industry, its relationship with our current health provision and question the development of the privatization of our health care. We will use case examples like: Philip Scheltens (a neurologist at the VU hospital) and his relationship with the Pharmaceutical industry in the Netherlands and discuss the Opioid crisis within the US.
